Southeast Asia & US Perceptions

Southeast Asian countries have vested interests in the US economy and diplomatic ties with Beijing, in terms of security, trade and commerce. A heavy reliance on China creates vulnerabilities, especially surrounding tensions in the South China Sea, among smaller governments in the region.
