Neda Bolourchi

Neda Bolourchi, JD, PhD, is a Middle East and national security expert whose work focuses on Iran, regional security, international law, and US foreign policy. An attorney and historian at Rutgers University, her background in human rights law and historical scholarship informs her analysis of contemporary questions of security and state power, including geopolitical competition, emerging technology, and their implications for US strategy and the international order. She has advised the US Departments of Defense and State, diplomatic missions, and private-sector clients and has extensive field experience in Iran, Syria, and the broader Middle East. Dr. Bolourchi holds a PhD from Columbia University in Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies.
