High School Curriculum: Globalization, Robots, and You

In partnership with Marginal Revolution University

The Eurasia Group Institute for Global Affairs (formerly the Eurasia Group Foundation) partnered with Marginal Revolution University in 2019 to launch, “Globalization, Robots, and You.” This interactive five-day curriculum is designed to engage students—particularly in rural communities—on topics related to globalization so they are equipped with information that will help them make informed decisions about their education and future careers. Topics covered include automation, creative destruction, the elephant graph, and more! Materials are free to any school, teacher, or homeschooling parent (the curriculum has been adapted for virtual learning).

In 2024, the Institute for Global Affairs again partnered with Marginal Revolution University to update the elephant graph and condense the curriculum into a flexible and easily accessible three-day unit: Intro to Globalization.

What Teachers are Saying:

“Globalization is a huge curriculum need. This fills the void.”

“I liked the way the lessons ended up with the students examining their own college majors and career paths.”

Richard P., Sacramento

Outstanding videos and practice questions – nothing like it anywhere. This is reshaping how I teach and what I teach – I have shared it with my colleagues. Thank you for your forward-thinking approach to teaching.

-Dave S., Canada

“I’ve found this new format (connecting video-homework-multiple choice, etc. in a ‘pill’ format). Absolutely terrific!

I really enjoyed the curriculum as it made globalization real for the students.
